Abacus Accounting Services is an accountancy practice set up with the aim of providing clients with a professional and dedicated approach to help their business. We can help with all accounting aspects of client’s business and will aim to make life as easy as possible to allow client’s to focus on the needs of their business instead of worrying about tax matters.
We offer a free consultation and charge for the job based on number of hours spent or on a fixed fee basis.

Who we are
Abacus Accounting Services has grown from a handful of clients to being an organisation having clients from all over the UK.
In 2010 the company purchased another accountancy practice in Sheffield in order to expand and acquire experience of the owner and employees. Since most of our new clients have come from recommendations of existing clients, the client base has largely grown organically and reliably. This stable growth environment has meant catering to client’s individual needs has never gone out of control, and professionalism across our services has been maintained.

CIS – Construction Industry Scheme
This very specialist area of self employment can be efficiently handled ensuring that your work is done as quickly as possible to ensure your taxation affairs are dealt with promptly and accurately by one of the partners and staff, whilst providing a professional service.
Partnership’s
Whilst partnerships can be slightly more complicated we can help take the difficulty away by filing all necessary tax returns and keeping you up to date at all times.
We will process partnership tax returns and each partners individual tax returns as necessary, even if each partner has other business interests.
Limited Companies
With more legal obligations than a sole trader or partnership, Limited Companies can appear daunting, however we can offer our services to make sure all deadlines are met and obligations to Companies House and HMRC fulfilled.
VAT
Whatever VAT scheme you use or will use we can carry out quarterly work for preparation of VAT Returns, always finalising with you before any Returns are submitted. Preparing the work as we do speeds up the process when preparing your end of year accounts.
RTI Payroll
The relatively new Real Time Information scheme used by HMRC requires constant up to date information to be given online to HMRC. This is an area we specialise in and have a dedicated partner to facilitate this process for all our clients who require this service. The partner has knowledge of Nest Pension Scheme and the new (April 2025) employment legislation.

Mehmud Nathu has a wide experience in all aspects of accountancy since graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Business Studies. Having attained over 25 years of experience for various accountancy practices in the UK, before setting up his own practice.
Nazar Hussain
Partner
Nazar Hussain started his carrier in industry but moved to practice after 2 years where he worked for ten years and then moved back into industry where heb spent fifteen years. He joined Abacus as an employee before becoming a partner.
Mohamed

Mohamed joined us in April 2025 to gain experience in accountancy and was later taken on as an apprentice.
